Legacy Society
The Colorado Episcopal Foundation presented us with a beautiful mosaic plaque in May of 2006 honoring us as one of the founding-member parishes of the Colorado Episcopal Legacy Society. Both the diocese and the church societies were established to remind parishioners to regularly update their wills and to remember St. Timothy's as a beneficiary in wills, trusts, life insurance policies and other estate planning vehicles. Special gifts may also be designated for the parish endowment. You are automatically a member of both the diocese and St. Timothy's societies if you have given a gift to the endowment fund or provided for a bequest to the church.
The Vestry established an Endowment Fund in the parish by-laws. Bequests and gifts to our Endowment Fund are invested in funds managed by the Colorado Episcopal Foundation. Income realized from those investments are available to the Vestry for major maintenance, capital improvement, debt service and for other purposes as may be appropriate for the operation of the parish with particular concern for outreach.
