Sunday School
Sunday School is offered downstairs off the parish hall for children and youth ages 3-18 during the first half of the 10:00 service, after which they rejoin their families for Communion. Visitors (including parents of children) are always welcome. Expect for some holidays, the children's programs run year-round, while youth Sunday School takes a break in the summer.
Children's activities include Bible stories, arts and crafts, discussions, and working in our community garden. Youth Sunday School looks into the weeks Scripture passages in greater depth, including discussions of current events and concerns.
The children are divided into three classrooms: preschool/Kindergarten, 1st - 2nd grade, and 3rd - 5th grade. At periodic Children's Chapel programs all the kids gather for music and for stories shared by the Godly Play method.
A highlight of our year is the Children's Weekend Bible School, scheduled for August 26-28, 2011. This is a more intensive time for fellowship, fun and exploring Bible stories. This is a particularly good opportunity for inviting friends and neighbors.
