Silent Auction to support the Youth Mission Trip is this Saturday evening, from 5:00 to 8:30 pm. The youth will be serving hors d’oeuvres and giving talks about what the trips have meant to them—beverages will be available. Fall Retreat signups continue—the last weekend in September will be a great time for men and women to gather, with program by Kathy Hendricks and Ken Phillips, music by Joyce Culwell and friends. Look for a signup sheet in the narthex, with (yellow) registration forms in the wall rack nearby.

Church Picnic is coming up after the 10:00 service on Sunday, June 3. That will be great fun for all ages, with a bouncy castle for the kids, refreshments and music for adults. St. Tim’s Fall Retreat for men and women will be September 28-30 at Cathedral Ridge Conference Center outside Woodland Park. Presenters Kathy Hendricks and Ken Phillips will lead us through an exciting weekend of spiritual exploration, prayer, and fellowship. Registration forms can be found in the narthex, along with a signup sheet. You can place your completed form and deposit in the basket on Lindsay’s desk. See the May Epistle for more information.

 

A Memorial Display to honor our veterans will be in the Sanctuary from May 29 through July 8. Everyone is invited to bring photographs for the display board—please label them carefully and either place them in the basket on Lindsay’s desk or give them to Alice Love or Rev. Michael. On Memorial Day weekend we’ll be remembering men and women who have died—then all veterans and active military personnel in the succeeding weeks. Remembrances such as medals, certificates, hats, etc. can be placed on the table in front of the photo board. If you have questions, please contact Rev. Michael at michael@sttims.net.

 

Ready for tomatoes? Heirloom tomato and other veggie seedlings will be offered by the Community Garden team at coffee hour next Sunday, May 20. To volunteer to help with the garden, contact Marsha Heron at marshaheron@msn.com or 303-738-5558.

 

Sunday School children are making offerings which they plan to use for a major outreach project. Next Sunday (May 20) they’ll be bringing those offerings to the altar and announcing their project, as we celebrate the last day of Sunday School. Thanks to our faithful teachers and the families who bring the children!

 

Young Adult Retreat will be Sunday, May 27 through Monday morning at Cathedral Ridge Conference Center in Woodland Park. Take the fun and satisfaction of youth group to a new level—contact Shanda for more information.

 

Study Brunch continues this Wednesday, May 16 at 9:30 am, with a program led by Dennis Haugh exploring the meaning of justice and how we respond.

 

Yoga class will meet this week at 7:00 pm in the Library.

 

Ongoing Ministries

Nursery care is available downstairs from 9:45 to the end of the worship service for newborns to age 3. Be sure to sign your child in and out.

Sunday School for preschool—high school is held each Sunday at 10:00 am in rooms off the Parish Hall. All children and youth are welcome.

Large-print bulletins can be found in the booklet rack near the nametags.

Audio assist devices are available at the sound booth in the back of the church. King Soopers, Sunflower Market, Target, and Safeway gift cards (which benefit St. Tim’s) can be purchased after both services and midweek at the church office.

Food donations for area food banks are collected each week in the narthex.
