St. Timothy’s Email Blast

The Ladies Out to Lunch Bunch will meet this Saturday at 11:30 am at the Sakura Hibachi & Sushi restaurant at 7600 W Quincy Ave in Littleton. For reservations call Marian MacFarlane at 303-346-9274.

Adult Forum meets this Sunday at 9 am to begin a new three part series, leading up to Holy Week, on the Gospel stories of the passion and death of Jesus. This Sunday we will discuss the first account, that in the Gospel of Mark. Prepare to go deeper in Holy Week by studying this most sacred of stories.

Lent Series continues next Wednesday with Daniel Bennett’s program on “Developing a Faithful Legacy,” which will explore the ways we can leave testaments to our highest values for the next generation.

Upcoming Events

Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a group of men interested in fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and good coffee. All men are invited to come to the parish hall this Tuesday morning at 6:30 am—meetings continue every other Tuesday.

Lent Series on “The Freedom to be Faithful” continues next Wednesday evening. Our hope is to take judgment and guilt out of conversations about money. This week Daniel Bennett’s program on “Developing a Faithful Legacy” will explore the ways we can leave testaments to our highest values for the next generation.

Each week the Lent series will begin with a celebration of Eucharist at 5:30 pm, followed by a soup supper provided by one of our ministry groups at 6:00. The program will begin at 6:45 and end at 8:00, when we’ll say Compline together. Please come when you can and leave when you must. You’ll need to arrange childcare in advance by contacting the office (

Were you there? is the theme of Kathy Hendricks’ next Retreat Afternoon on Saturday, March 9 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. We’ll be getting to know the people who gathered at the Cross on Good Friday and imagining their reactions. This event will help us prepare ourselves for the Holy Week journey—mark your calendar!

Stations of the Cross will be observed on Sunday, March 10 at 5:00 pm. Don’t miss this liturgy written by Jeff Spahr with music by Joyce Culwell and friends.

“Following in the Footsteps of Jesus” is the title of a booklet prepared by our Samaritan Outreach team to enhance your Lenten journey. Pick one up today!

Lent reflections from the Diocese of Colorado (written by Bishop O’Neill and others) are also available in the narthex bulletin rack near the stairs.

Young @ Heart’s bus trip to the Newman Center for the Denver Brass’ “Echoes of the Emerald Isles” concert on Sunday afternoon, March 10 has a couple of openings—reserve your place by contacting the church office at 303-794-1565.

Ongoing Ministries

Nursery care is available downstairs from 9:45 to the end of the worship service for newborns to age 3. Be sure to sign your child in and out.

Sunday School for children age 4-grade 5 is held each Sunday at 10:00 am in rooms off the Parish Hall. Junior and Senior High youth meet in the D-Zone. All children and youth are welcome—they’ll return to their families at the Peace.

Large-print bulletins can be found in the booklet rack near the nametags.

Audio assist devices are available at the sound booth in the back of the church. King Soopers, Target, and Safeway gift cards (which benefit St. Tim’s at no cost to you) can be purchased after both services.

Food donations for area food banks are collected each week in the narthex.
