Simple Summer Suppers This summer, we are continuing our Simple Summer Suppers tradition which are casual potlucks hosted in member's homes as a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other over a shared meal. Please consider participating in the following times of fellowship and fun:
Small Group Facilitator Training If you are interested in facilitating a new small group, we are hosting a training to ensure facilitators will feel empowered when we launch small groups in the fall. If you are feeling a nudge to facilitate but don’t yet have an idea of what you want your group to look like, please join us and we will help you brainstorm content, meeting structure, and whatever you need to be successful. Register here for the facilitator training this Saturday, June 20th, from 9 AM – 1 PM here at St. Tim’s. Lunch will be provided. Feel free to email Mother Megan with any questions. Hope to see you there!
Celebrating the LGBTQ+ Community
Pride Month TimTalk: Join Mother Megan (she/her) for a conversation with The Reverend Tori Moir (they/them) before worship this Sunday, June 21st, at 9 AM in the Fellowship Hall as they unpack the Episcopal Church's journey to inclusive Orthodoxy.
Pride Mass: St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Denver will host a special Pride Mass on Thursday, June 25th, at 6 PM—the Thursday before the Denver Pride Parade and Festival. This will be held in collaboration with several other Episcopal Parishes in the Denver area, and Mother Megan will be speaking! All are welcome. All are invited. All are loved.
Pride Parade: Be a part of the Episcopalian presence at this year's Denver Pride parade on Sunday, June 28th! St. Tim's, together with our siblings at St. John's, St. Andrew's, and St. Barnabas’, will meet at Cheesman Park near the 10th Avenue entrance on the west side of the park at 8 AM to get into our formation for the parade. Please RSVP by Friday, June 26th, at 12 PM to be included in group updates. Email Mother Megan to carpool or for more information.
Nourish Our Neighbors Come help St. Tim's feed our community! On Saturday, June 27th, at 10 AM, we will meet in the kitchen to make lunches and then deliver them to our neighbors who need a meal. Please bring a jar of either peanut butter or jelly. Sign up here.
Family Promise This summer, St. Tim’s will once again open its doors to families participating in Family Promise of Greater Denver. From Sunday, July 19th – Sunday, August 2nd, our church will become a place of welcome, rest, and support for families working toward stable housing and brighter futures. While at St. Tim’s, guests will have access to three daily meals, laundry facilities, showers, and a safe place to spend time together after busy days of work, school, and other responsibilities. Volunteers are needed to prepare meals, greet and host families in the evenings, stay overnight, assist with room preparation and cleanup, and provide transportation twice-daily to and from Family Promise’s Day Site in West Denver. To volunteer, please sign up here. For more information about volunteering with Family Promise or if you need help getting signed up, please contact us to get in touch with Dixon Cravens.
