DENVER BRONZE CONCERT
Please join us as Denver Bronze Celebrates 250 Years of America, Ringing Through Time! The concert will be at St. Tim’s on Sunday, May 10th, at 4 PM and will include Americana music throughout the centuries, from the Star-Spangled Banner to God Bless the USA to When the Saints Go Marching In, and a few Broadway selections along the way! Tickets may be purchased here.
Exploring Your Vocation On Saturday, May 16th, from 9 AM – 3 PM, the Episcopal Church in Colorado invites you to an Exploring Your Vocation Discernment Day. Members of the Diaconate, the Priesthood, Vowed Religious Life, and Licensed Lay Ministry will join Bishop Kym for a conversation about their ministries and the discernment process. The gathering is designed for those who are wondering, listening, and seeking clarity about how God may be calling them. If you feel drawn to explore further, we invite you to register here for this day of prayerful reflection and conversation.
Douglas County Pride Join Mother Megan at Douglas County Pride on Sunday, May 17th. The event lasts from 11 AM – 6 PM, at Salisbury Park in Parker. We have a few spots left for volunteers at the inclusive churches' booth, so be sure to sign up! To ask questions and learn more, email Mother Megan.
"A PRIEST & A RABBI WALKED INTO A BAR..."
Join Rabbi Amanda and Mother Megan for a casual, interfaith happy hour near Littleton on Thursday, May 28th, from 6 PM – 8 PM. All are invited: bring your kids, your friends, your neighbors, and join us for a pint or a non-alcoholic beverage. Bring the questions you’ve always wanted to ask clergy, we welcome conversation about the sacred and the mundane! We hope the evening will also be a great opportunity to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones. RSVP here or email Mother Megan and the location will be sent out the day before the event.
Hosting Simple Summer Suppers St. Tim’s is seeking Simple Summer Supper hosts! Having potluck meals in our members' homes provides a great connection opportunity for longtime members and newcomers to get to know each other over the course of a casual evening. It’s easy to volunteer:
Between June 1st and August 16th, select two dates that work for your schedule. Once the office has everyone's responses, we will confirm which date works best.
Let us know how many you can comfortably host (between 4 and 10 guests) and whether this number includes you or not!
In late May, we will publish hosts, dates and neighborhoods for people to sign up.
A week before your date, we will email you the contact list of participants. Hosts will reach out to registered guests and provide directions and meal details. Typically the host provides the main course and asks guests to bring sides and desserts.
We can’t wait! Volunteer to host here.
Parish Retreat Great news—after seeing record-high interest for our Parish Retreat from July 10–12th and filling the lodge, Cathedral Ridge has added additional spots in their bunkbed cabin at a discounted rate. We are thrilled that more people than ever before will be able to experience our retreat! All meals are provided buffet-style, and dietary needs are cheerfully accommodated. We begin with Friday dinner and conclude with Sunday morning Eucharist. Camp counselors will be onsite with fun programming for youth, while adults are free to be as active or relaxed as they like—participating in programs or settling into an Adirondack chair and enjoying the views! Register here.
Migration Pilgrimage Join Mother Megan for a transformative pilgrimage to Tucson from August 12-17th, where St. Tim's will partner with BorderLinks for an immersive experience along the U.S./Mexico border. Through visits with migrant aid organizations, churches, immigration court, and the border wall, we will learn firsthand about the complexities of migration while praying and worshiping together. BorderLinks provides programming, meals (including vegetarian options), and comfortable dorm-style lodging that accommodates mobility needs; airfare will be arranged separately once the group is finalized. Register here. To ask questions and learn more, email Mother Megan.
