NOMINEES FOR VESTRY
The parish membership will elect two regular Vestry members to three year terms, and Senior and Junior Wardens to annual terms. To be eligible for election, nominees are communicants in good standing, 18 years or older, and pledging members of the parish for at least 6 months. Public announcements soliciting nominations were made in November. Because discernment for leadership takes time and conversation, nominations will not be received from the floor. This slate will be elected by acclamation.

Nominated for a 3 year term.
My wife, Jen, and I have been attending St Tim’s for a little over two years. We have three amazing children, one that has graduated from the School of Mines, and two that are still at UC Boulder.
I was raised in a Catholic household, was a member of an evangelical church for roughly 20 years, before becoming an Episcopalian upon joining St. Tims. Since joining, I have served as a lector, helped Jen as part of the altar guild, served as the Treasurer for over a year now, and helped Mother Megan with restarting the small group ministry at St. Tims. We love the ministers and the community at St. Tim’s and enjoy meeting and working with everyone.
I have been employed in the investment industry for over 30 years and currently work at Charles Schwab in the operations organization.
I’m very excited to join the vestry, as I strongly believe that St. Tim’s delivers a message of love and community that this world desperately needs. I want to be of service in growing that community by encouraging and building opportunities for members to become more involved with each other and continue God’s work in this world.

I started attending St. Tim’s in 2023. I was braced for a long search for the right church home and stopped my search after one service at St. Tim’s. I felt immediately welcomed by those near me in the pew; Mother Kim’s sermon resonated on many levels; Adam and the choir had so much heart; and I could feel the Spirit everywhere.
A bit about me: I married my high school sweetheart, Fred, and together we have two children and two grandchildren, ages 3 and 2, whom we care for on a regular basis. Professionally, I worked for over 30 years in the environmental science field, primarily focused on water quality. Currently I am a licensed psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in grief and complex trauma. In 2024, in collaboration with a wonderful team from St. Tim’s, I created the curriculum for Mental Health 101. Through the MH 101 class and other small group experiences, my love and deep appreciation for our community have grown. I view the vestry as an opportunity to serve and support this very special community, through which all of us can express love in the world in ways that we could not do alone.

Nominated for a first annual term as Junior Warden.
I joined St. Tim’s Parish in 2019 after having been a life-long member of a another faith community. After my wife passed away, I began to reassess the various aspects of my life including my spiritual well being. Through the encouragement of a parishioner, this assessment eventually led me to St. Tim’s. As we examine the work that Mother Kim and Mother Megan are doing, this is a concrete example of the power we all have in our ability to encourage others to join our faith community. I have lived in the Arapahoe/Douglas County communities for many years and have raised my three grown children here. A very important part of my life is my involvement with my six grandchildren most who are through college.
I have spent my entire professional career in education working with and supporting students and families as a teacher, high school principal and finally retiring as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Douglas County. In addition I have served on a variety of boards with a mission of supporting students and families. During this time I found many of the values that I tried to support in my career, I found at St. Tim’s. These values include a church community where all people are valued and welcomed without exception and where diversity is celebrated; a place where all lives matter regardless of who they are; a community where women can have a leadership role in the spiritual lives of people as well as lead responsible organizations where their skills and compassion are on display.
Finally, but most importantly, I believe that St. Tim’s is a reflection of what Mother Theresa taught throughout her life. She writes that at the end of our lives we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made or how many great things we have done; we will, be judged by how we respond to: “I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.” I believe this is the lens that St. Tim’s uses to address the needs of our community as we look to our future growth and development.

Nominated for a first annual term as Senior Warden.
My dear wife Kim and I both grew up under the Roman Catholic tradition. We met at Carroll College, in Helena, Montana, in 1980. Dennis and Marian Haugh invited us several times to explore joining the St. Tim’s community. We moved to the St. Tim’s faith community in 2018.
I wish to serve our clergy, vestry and congregation by listening and facilitating. I will bring my experience of business management, board service and love of sacraments and liturgy to the role of senior warden.
My board service and officer experiences that will benefit St. Tim’s include: current Treasurer for Rocky Mountain Public Media’s (the parent organization of RMpbs, KUVO Jazz and The Drop) board of trustees, current vice chair for Carroll College’s board of trustees, previous board chair for Archdiocesan Housing, Inc. (Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver’s affordable housing arm), previous board member and chair for Brent Eley Foundation (Brent’s Place), and previous member of the faith coalition for Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver.
Professionally, I function as the Chief Financial Officer for Koelbel and Company, a three generation Colorado real estate development company with properties in multiple states. Koelbel develops commercial, master plan communities, for sale residential and multi-family units including over 800 units of affordable housing.
Our daughters Megan and Kaitlyn, their partners and our five granddaughters live in Colorado and fill our lives with joy.
